The spoken word can have extreme power, transforming itself into emotions, memories and hope. Travelling across continents and cultures, language binds us through expression.
That was deep, but at The Training Room Online, we place great emphasis on it, and like surgeons, dissect all scripts to accentuate the message. We first look at the exact demographic of the piece, and then decide on the correct voice for the subject matter. It is crucial to understand the different tone that can be portrayed by varying voices. We focus on handpicking the most eloquent voices for each job. There’s a reason David Beckham doesn’t narrate wildlife documentaries. Nothing against him, but it also means that the other David (last name Attenborough), doesn’t have to try and bend a football’s trajectory past ten defenders. Thankfully.
The process starts with us analysing the content and creating a script. A well-crafted script involves as much care and attention to detail as a Renaissance sculpture…except, of course, without the marble…and the Spanish Inquisition. But, it’s intricate. At this point we look at actors, radio personalities, presenters and voices of the highest ability and expertise. In collaboration with you, we decide on a voice and then head out with our sound engineers to our recording studio. This is where we capture the artist’s soul and then mix and master it in post, to produce a crystal clear audio track that we can then add to the e-learning and to the music score. We have composers for this and access to a multitude of royalty free audio libraries.
